A liver patient whose story captivated the city is showing signs of recovery after receiving a second liver transplant seven days after her first.
Tang Kwai-sze, 43, can now open her eyes and nod, Queen Mary Hospital’s head of surgery Professor Lo Chung-mau said on Friday, concluding that the surgery appeared to be successful.
Tang was thrown a last-minute lifeline last week after a 26-year-old woman came forward in response to an appeal from Tang’s 17-year-old daughter, Michelle….
