3Novices:Officials sign off on extra flights at Hong Kong’s airport

Aviation officials have raised the limit on the number of aircraft that Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) can handle each day, the Post has learned.
Under the rules introduced this year, more than 7,000 extra flights per year are allowed – amounting to 20 extra daily flights – adding to the previous 420,000 annual take-off and landing slots, with further increases expected to follow over the next couple of years.
