Hong Kong’s leader Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor has announced a two-year extension to retain teachers made redundant by the cutting of classes.
Speaking before the weekly Executive Council meeting on Tuesday morning, Lam said 11 secondary schools would need to cut a total of 13 classes in the coming school year because of the drop in student population.
