A widening contaminated eggs scandal that started in the Netherlands has spread to Hong Kong, the European Commission has announced.
Dutch farms confirmed to have insecticide-tainted eggs shipped products to Hong Kong, a food safety spokeswoman for the commission said. She stressed that details about the volume and impact on the city were still under initial investigation.
